Nourish Scotland - Public Diners conference

01 February 2024

Starts: 09:30

Thursday 1 February  9.30 - 5.00  Central Hall  Edinburgh
Central Hall  2 West Tollcross   Edinburgh   EH3 9BP

The day will be an exciting blend of small group conversations, open space discussions, and engagement with artists and design students, all with the aim of helping us imagine a 21st century public diner. We are very pleased to be joined by Bryce Evans who studied the British history of public diners (known as National Kitchens and British Restaurants) in the first half of 20th century.

Join us for the day's conference or for the evening event when we will summarise and celebrate work of the day over dinner and spoken word performance.

An evening closing event at 6:30pm will bring us together over food, to reflect on the day and plan first steps. Expect an exciting public-diner-style feast.
